Bursa's Silk, which was declared the 2022 Turkic World Capital of Culture by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), became the favorite of the 18th Carpathian Basin Folk Textile Festival held in Békéscsaba, Hungary. Speaking at the opening of the festival, TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kaseinov drew attention to the importance of preserving traditional arts. Kasseinov said, “I am very happy to organize such a meaningful event. It is very important that we bring our traditional arts to light and transfer them to future generations. I would like to thank you for including artists and scientists from the Turkish World in your festival. In the coming years, we will continue our efforts to have more artists from the Turkish World participate in the Carpathian Basin Folk Textile Festival,'' he said. Within the scope of the event, workshops, exhibitions and country presentations were organized. A special session was also held at the festival for 2022 Turkish World Culture Capital Bursa.
