Samsun Metropolitan Municipality was awarded with the 'Smart City Traffic Safety Project' at the 'AUS Turkey 5th Way of Mind in Transportation Awards' organized by the Intelligent Transportation Systems Association of Turkey (AUS Turkey). President Mustafa Demir received the award from the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir attended the SUMMITS 3rd International Intelligent Transportation Systems Summit, which is known as Turkey's comprehensive and comprehensive event in the field of smart mobility and digitalization of transportation.
The summit, organized by the Intelligent Transportation Systems Association of Turkey (AUS Turkey) under the Presidency of the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK), was attended by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan, AUS Turkey President Esma Dilek, as well as public officials. and many senior executives from the private sector.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality applied for the 'AUS Turkey 5th Way of Mind in Transportation Awards' organized by AUS Turkey with its “Smart City Traffic Safety Project”. The Metropolitan Municipality was awarded as a result of the application made by the Department of Transportation. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, who attended the ceremony held in Ankara, received the 'Municipalism Award' from the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu at the AUS Turkey 5th Way of Mind in Transportation Awards.
Carrying Samsun to the future with visionary projects in every field, Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir stated that they set an example for Turkey with the 'Smart City Traffic Safety Project'. Noting that they received the award on behalf of Samsun residents, Mayor Demir emphasized the importance of the project. He said that with the Smart City Traffic Safety Project, while accidents will decrease, traffic flow will accelerate, and environmental pollution will be prevented by reducing fuel consumption of vehicles, toxic gas emissions and noise pollution. He also emphasized that Samsun is a visionary project in terms of living comfort.
