In Kastamonu, AFAD teams are extending a helping hand to the citizens by crossing the village roads closed due to snow with a tracked vehicle.

In Kastamonu, where the harshest winter season of recent years has been experienced, many village roads have been closed to transportation due to snow. AFAD teams mobilized for citizens who are sick or who have run out of medicine in inaccessible settlements.

After the notifications received by the 112 Emergency Call Center are evaluated in order of priority, AFAD teams take action.

Working hard, the teams cross the roads with their tracked snowmobile and rush to the aid of the citizens in a difficult situation.

After the snowfall in the region since March 11, 19 people who became ill in the villages of Bozkurt, Çatalzeytin, Doğanyurt, Küre and İnebolu districts were taken from the settlements where they were trapped as a result of the work of AFAD and delivered to the health teams for their treatment.

AFAD teams also carried out the refueling of the generators of the base stations in the region, and worked to ensure that the communication was not interrupted.
