This year, 19 women in January and 17 women in February became victims of murder. In the same period of last year, 49 women lost their lives as a result of murder.

Electronic handcuffs are implemented by the security units under the coordination of our Ministry within the scope of the Law No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and the Prevention of Violence Against Women.

The suspects, who are wearing electronic handcuffs, are followed instantly by the police in the monitoring unit established at the Security and Emergency Situations Coordination Center within the body of our Ministry regarding the practice, which was implemented within the scope of efforts to prevent domestic violence and violence against women a while ago.

Within the scope of the application, 553 suspects are still being followed with electronic handcuffs.

If these suspects approach the victim, the closest team is directed to the address where the victim is located, upon notification to the center.

325 thousand 842 notifications were received from KADES
