Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, drew attention to the fact that there are only a few days left for the opening of Tokat New Airport, and noted that the last 20 years have been a golden age in aviation.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a written statement about Tokat New Airport. "We have implemented mega projects in transportation in the last 20 years," said Karaismailoğlu, adding, "In this period, which we can describe as the 'golden age' of aviation, we have equipped Turkey with modern new airports. We also modernized the existing airports from top to bottom. From south to north, east to west, we built modern terminals all over Anatolia, closely followed by the world. We are adding a new one to this chain of works. When we come to power, we will increase the number of airports from 26 to 57 together with Tokat New Airport.
ANNUAL PASSENGER CAPACITY 2 MILLION
Pointing out that Tokat is developing day by day with its historical and cultural richness and commercial potential, Karaismailoğlu noted that Tokat New Airport will carry the development mobilization of the city, which is the apple of the eye of the region, to a further point.
Stating that the final touches were made at Tokat New Airport, Karaismailoğlu noted that there are few days left for the opening of the airport. Underlining that Tokat New Airport has a terminal building of 16 square meters, Karaismailoğlu emphasized that the annual passenger capacity is 200 million. Noting that the technical block and tower are 2 thousand 2 square meters, Karaismailoğlu said, “Apron; It has a parking capacity of 300 aircraft, including 5 passengers and 2 cargo… The length of the runway is 7 meters," he said.
IT WILL LEAD THE OPENING OF NEW BUSINESS AREAS
Emphasizing that airports contribute to the economy by creating employment in the region where they are located, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that Tokat New Airport will also contribute to the employment opportunities of the city and the region. Karaismailoğlu, “In addition; our airport will not only develop business areas and lead the opening of new business areas; it will also positively affect the social positions of the surrounding settlements. The efficiency of the city's economy will increase thanks to the airport, which has all the features that a modern airport should have and will connect Tokat to the world and the world to Tokat. With the increase in the efficiency of the supply chain, positive developments will occur in the commercial life of the city.
