The Number of Those Who Lost Their Lives in the Congo Train Crash Disaster Raised to 75

The death toll as a result of the freight train derailment in the Lualaba province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo rose to 75.

The freight train from Lubudi district in Lualaba province to Lubumbashi derailed yesterday for an unknown reason. It was recorded that 60 people died in the accident. However, the balance sheet regarding the accident was updated on Sunday.

Accordingly, 75 people lost their lives in the accident, and 28 people were injured, 125 of them seriously.

The injured were being treated at the Cimenkat Hospital in the Lubudi region.

Although it is prohibited in the country, freight trains accept stowaways.
