The Historic Pier on the Altınordu Coast Gets an Appearance Befitting the City's Identity

The historical large pier on the Altınordu coast, one of the iconic places of Ordu, has been given an appearance befitting the identity of the city with the initiatives of the Metropolitan Municipality. Within the scope of the works, a 77-meter-long 1.460 square meter scaffolding area will be created.

WE WILL REINTEGRATE WITH THE CITY

The Metropolitan Municipality, which took action to renew the pier, which endangered the safety of life and property because its concrete legs were corroded, started to work to reintegrate the historical pier with the city.

In the first phase of the work consisting of two stages, the old pier was demolished and 15 piles with a length of 21 meters were driven. Within the scope of the second stage works, the driving process of 21 of 30 piles with dimensions ranging from 84 to 54 meters has been completed. The teams, which will reinforce the scaffolding ground by driving 99 piles into the area within the scope of the project, continue to manufacture the remaining 30 piles.

TEMPORARY PLATFORM ESTABLISHED

Within the scope of the works, a temporary platform was prepared with uncategorized material for driving the piles. Crews will restore the sea by emptying the temporary platform after the piles are driven. The scaffolding flooring will be covered with wooden composite deck coatings. 180-meter-long modern railings with steel ropes will be built and the pier will continue to serve with its renewed identity after the lighting works.
