A workshop on “The Future of Rail Passenger Transportation” was held in Istanbul under the chairmanship of TCDD Transportation General Manager Hasan Pezük.

In the workshop, customer satisfaction-oriented market and process analyzes were carried out in accordance with the increasing passenger demands in order to plan the coming years by making operational analyzes of passenger trains, while strategies and policies for the effective use of TCDD Transportation resources were determined.

In addition, in the workshop where 2023 targets were evaluated, passenger rights regulations, solution center, new touristic routes and passenger services provided on the train were analyzed.

In his speech at the workshop, General Manager of TCDD Transportation; Noting that services that affect the citizens in passenger and freight transportation are provided, “We must prioritize customer satisfaction while performing these services.” said.

Stating that technology-based demands are increasing in the changing world and that citizens are constantly communicating their demands on social media, Pezük said:

“Citizen is planning while traveling from one point to another. We should also make our plans on time in our services. We must increase efficiency in service by improving yourself and your colleagues. Developing staff always gives an advantage. We must solve the problems and knots in consultation with the managers. My friends at all levels and in the organization have the knowledge and experience to solve problems. Because our organization is the leader in the sector with the knowledge and experience of 165 years of railway history.”

Emphasizing that they handled the solution center application more professionally, Pezük stated that the complaints coming from various channels were gathered in a single center and thus faster and healthier solutions were produced.

Asking the managers to follow the complaints and requests from the passengers very carefully and to take the necessary measures for the solution, Pezuk said, “Success will come as soon as the problems are solved. We should try to make all our services safe. We must emphasize efficiency in our services.” Said.

Pezuk wanted to follow all the processes of travel in high-speed trains and said that the domestic and international demand for tourism-oriented trains is constantly increasing.

Stating that the passenger density for Başkentray and Marmaray, which are city trains, is increasing day by day, Pezuk expressed that the workshop will contribute to providing better and better service and conveyed his greetings to the railwaymen.
