First Export of ATAK Attack Helicopter to Philippines

President of the Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir announced on his social media accounts: “The first 2 of the 6 ATAK Helicopters exported within the scope of the State-to-State (G2G) International Agreement signed between our Presidency and the Philippines Ministry of Defense have been delivered to the Philippines, where we are constantly taking new steps in warm friendly relations. Together We Are Stronger!”

Turkish Aerospace Industries made the first delivery on March 129, 8 in the export of T2022 ATAK Helicopter, which was signed with the Philippine Air Force last year. In addition to the T129 ATAK Helicopter, the shipment of spare parts and ground support devices was successfully completed in the two deliveries. Turkish Aerospace Industries will deliver a total of 6 T129 ATAK Helicopters to the Philippines.

Two T400 ATAK Helicopters, aboard two A129M aircraft departing from Ankara Kahramankazan Campus, successfully arrived in the Philippines. While the second delivery package is planned to be realized in 2023 under the contract, it continues to work for the delivery in 2022. The export package, which will provide support such as spare parts and ground support devices within the scope of logistics activities, also includes details such as the training of maintenance personnel and the assignment of technical support personnel in the field. While the training of 4 pilots and 19 technicians has been completed within the scope of the training, a total of 13 pilots will receive training.

Referring to the export success of Turkish Aerospace Industries, General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil said, “This export is a milestone for our country. I am very happy to witness this pride. These days, where our export success has accelerated, is a proof of how much the world trusts our country and the platforms produced. We embrace this worldwide favor and continue our efforts to continue many projects with the same determination and determination.”

Having signed an export agreement with the Pakistani Armed Forces for the first time in recent years, Turkish Aerospace Industries reinforced its success with the Philippines export agreement. The company, which is currently negotiating, aims to conclude new export agreements with different countries in the coming period.
