Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organizes the Develop Your City Contest. In the competition to be held under the joint management of Ford Otosan and World Resources Institute (WRI) Turkey, with the theme of "Smart and Sustainable Transportation"; In Alsancak, which has been selected as the pilot region, sustainable, nature-friendly, 'smart city' solutions that will contribute to the transportation of people and cargo will be sought.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Ford Otosan and WRI Turkey are launching the Develop Your City Competition. In the world of the future, the competition, which focuses on smart mobility, sets out to produce smart solutions to the problems of cities by collaborating with the stakeholders in the ecosystem. Participants will compete with the solutions they will present within the theme of "Smart and Sustainable Transportation" in Alsancak, where Izmir's transportation, e-scooter, public transportation and urban logistics mobility is very intense.
Inviting start-ups, university students, micromobility and technology companies interested in smart mobility, the organization will support sustainability and accessibility-oriented ideas; will ensure the implementation of prominent projects.
Opportunities for the winners
The teams selected for the competition will be given thematic training and mentor support from experts in their fields. At the end of the process, the teams will present to a distinguished jury and the top 3 ideas on smart mobility will have the opportunity to make presentations at K-Works (Koç Holding Incubation Center) and Ford Otosan Investment Committee. In addition, the opportunity to benefit from the facilities provided by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Izmir Entrepreneurship Center and a prototype workshop will be offered. Ford Otosan will also support the piloting of the solution developed by the first selected team in the city.
