The executive candidates of the New Andijan city to be established in Uzbekistan were given training on various subjects at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

Within the scope of the Joint Economic Commission between Turkey and Uzbekistan, cooperation is carried out on the training and development of public personnel with the joint project of the Presidential Human Resources Office and the Uzbekistan Public Service Development Agency.

In this context, a delegation consisting of the deputy governor, district governor and heads of departments, who are candidates to manage the new city to be established in Uzbekistan, attended the trainings held in Konya.

The Uzbek delegation, who closely saw the “Konya Model Municipalism” in the presentations made at the Metropolitan Municipality Mevlana Cultural Center; He was informed about "Light Rail System", "Zero Waste", "E-Municipal Applications and Electronic Payment in Public Transport", "Establishment of Social Facilities". Afterwards, the Uzbek delegation also visited the Capsule Technology Platform and the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department and saw the works on site.

Jasurbek Parpiyev, Head of Uzbekistan's Andijan Regional Government Foreign Investments Department, said, “We are planning to establish a new city in Uzbekistan where 400 thousand people will live. For this purpose, we wanted to visit Turkey and benefit from the experiences in various fields. We have benefited greatly from the experience of municipality of Konya Metropolitan Municipality. The trainings were very productive. We want to apply this knowledge we have acquired in our country.” said.
