Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is organizing the Izmir Polyphonic Choirs Festival between 11-15 May in order to encourage polyphonic choral music and contribute to the universal dimension of Turkish music. The deadline for applications for the festival, where professional and amateur polyphonic choirs at all levels can participate, is March 25.

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerIn line with the 'culture and art city' target of İzmir, İzmir is hosting a new festival with the slogan “Too many sounds, many colors, many breaths”. İzmir Polyphonic Choirs Festival is organized between 11-15 May in cooperation with the İzmir Branch of the Turkish Polyphonic Choirs Association. In the festival organized to develop polyphonic choral music, distinguished choral music samples from Turkey and the world will be brought together with art lovers. The festival will be held at Konak Alhambra Stage on May 11-12-13, and at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center on May 14-15.

How to apply?

The application deadline for the festival, which can be attended by professional and amateur polyphonic choirs at all levels (juniors, children, youth, adults, women, men, etc.), has been determined as 25 March. Choirs will be able to access information about the application and application forms on the "kultursanat.izmir.bel.tr" and "izmir.art" pages.

Choirs participating in the festival will be evaluated by the "Festival Evaluation Board" in 15 different musical branches, without competing with each other, and will be rewarded artistically in the musical branch with the highest score.
