First Prize from KalDer to ABB's 'Contract Manufacturing' Model

The “Contractual Production Model”, one of the rural development projects implemented by Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and setting an example for Turkey, is gaining the appreciation of non-governmental organizations as well as farmers.

Within the scope of the 'Inspiring Public Administration Project Awards' given by the Quality Association (KalDer) for the first time this year, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality was awarded the first prize in the local governments category with its 'Contract Production Model' project.

ABB President Mansur Yavaş shared on his social media accounts regarding the first prize, “We are proud that our contracted production model won the first place in the local governments category within the scope of the 'Inspiring Public Administration Project Awards'. This award includes the statements of all our local farmers who have never spared their efforts.

THE PROJECT INCREASED AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN BAŞKENT

ABB President Mansur Yavaş, who supports rural development with the words "My biggest dream is to make the local producers in Ankara rich", revitalizes the city's economy with agricultural training activities that make farmers smile, practices that encourage cooperatives, diesel, seeds, fertilizer, water buffalo and animal feed.

The Metropolitan Municipality participated in the competition, which lasted for 6 months, with the 'Contract Production Model' project, which aims to increase the agricultural production and the income level of farmers, within the scope of the 'United Nations Sustainable Development Goals', and to provide the people of Ankara with affordable access to the crops produced by the cooperatives through Başkent Markets.

ABB Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Kemal Çokakoğlu and Head of Rural Services Department Ahmet Mekin Tüzün attended the award ceremony held in the Assembly Hall of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey for the competition, where there were intense applications across Turkey.

Receiving the first prize from KalDer Ankara Branch Board Member M. Fahir Altan, Çokakoğlu made the following evaluations:
