The application and application guide of the central exam within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS), which will be held on June 5 this year by the Ministry of National Education, has been published.

At the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, the Central Exam Application and Application Guide for Secondary Education Institutions to Admit Students by Exam has been announced on the internet address "meb.gov.tr".

The procedures and principles regarding the central examination to be held in order to select students for the science high schools, social sciences high schools, project schools, vocational and technical Anatolian high schools and Anatolian technical programs of the 8th grade students of public and private secondary schools, imam hatip secondary schools and temporary education centers were included.

No additional procedures will be required for the exam application.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer shared the following information in his statement regarding the LGS guide: “Applications for the central exam to be applied on 5 June 2022 within the scope of LGS will be made centrally by the Ministry on 4-14 April 2022. The automatic application process will be carried out for all 8th grade students studying in the country. Students who study abroad in schools that are not registered in the e-School system will apply by filling out the form in the published guide. Thus, students and parents will not need to make a physical application for the exam application.”

Underlining that students whose applications are automatically made by the Ministry do not have to take the exam, Özer said, “Students who want to take the exam will be able to take the exam without the need for any application process.” used the phrase.

No change in the exam

Minister Özer said, “There was no change in the sessions, exam times, number of questions and course distribution in the LGS central exam. As in the previous year, the exam will be held in two sessions in 2022. Students will be asked a total of 90 questions, all multiple choice.” made its assessment.

Accessible guides for students with visual and hearing impairments were prepared for the first time this year. The first session will start at 09.30 Turkish time and the second session will start at 11.30.

In the first session, students will be asked a total of 50 questions from Turkish, Turkish Revolution history and Kemalism, religious culture and ethics, and foreign language courses and will be given a 75-minute response time. In the second session, students will be asked a total of 40 questions from mathematics and science courses, and students will have 80 minutes to answer. The number of correct and incorrect answers will be determined for each subtest in the verbal and numerical sections. Each student's raw score for each subtest will be calculated by subtracting one-third of the number of incorrect answers from the number of correct answers for the relevant test.

Exam results will be announced on 30 June 2022 on the website "meb.gov.tr". Exam results documents will not be sent to students by mail.
