The new home of 6 wild animals of 24 species born in İzmir Natural Life Park is now Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Zoo. With this relocation, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality aims both to keep the quality of life in the park at a certain level and to cooperate with zoos in other provinces.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality bid farewell to 6 wild animals of 24 species born in the Natural Life Park, to Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Zoo upon their request. With this relocation, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which aims both to keep the quality of life in the park at a certain level and to cooperate with the zoos in other provinces, said goodbye to the porcupine, Burmese python, capybara, wild goat and tiger.

For the first time, a tiger was among the animals sent from the Wildlife Park to other municipalities. The male tiger is only 18 months old.

Male lynx will return to Izmir

There is also a male lynx among the animals sent to Antalya. However, the male lynx will be brought back to İzmir after mating with the female lynx there and the calves are born.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Natural Life Park had recently sent off 12 wild animals of 54 species to the Uşak Municipality Zoo.
