GOAL: EFFICIENT AND FASTER SERVICE

Ankara Fire Department, which increased the number of firefighters to 201 with new officers, increased the number of vehicles from 53 to 175 with 228 new vehicles that will prevent loss of life and property by entering the narrow streets where multi-functional large fire trucks and tankers cannot enter.

NEW VEHICLES WILL BE DELIVERED IN 2022

57 vehicles with various functions and whose contracts have been completed will join the Ankara Fire Brigade's fleet in 2022.

Stating that they aim to increase the service quality of the Ankara Fire Department to the citizens of the Capital by increasing the total number of vehicles to 285, Salih Kurumlu, Head of the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department, made the following statements:

“Today we are experiencing double excitement in our fire department. We are happy that our 150 personnel, which we have recruited on the basis of license and merit, have started to work. At the same time, we added 53 service vehicles that we bought through DMO to our fleet. Our Ankara is growing. We work on a 25/24 basis in 48 districts. We planned to buy over 100 vehicles in total, but the purchase of these vehicles was delayed due to the chip crisis and the pandemic. Therefore, we complete our previously missing tools in batches. Vehicle deliveries will continue. We will add foam tower, ladder, rescue and multi-purpose vehicles, which we call special vehicles, to the fire brigade in batches after May.”

Ankara Fire Department continues to serve in 25 stations located in 46 districts, taking into account the geographical structure and settlements of the Capital.
