224 Million TL Additional Resources Transferred to SYDVs Before Ramadan

Family and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık announced that they transferred approximately 224 million TL of additional resources to Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SYDV) so that households in need could meet their basic food needs before the month of Ramadan.

Minister Yanık stated that they will be with the households in need in the month of Ramadan, when cooperation, unity and solidarity increase. Burns underlined that the transferred resource will be delivered to its owners effectively and quickly.

Stating that they provided support in kind and in cash during Ramadan to meet the food needs of the households determined to be in need through all SYDVs across the country, Minister Yanık said:

“We help needy households to meet their basic food needs before our religious holidays. Accordingly, we transferred approximately 224 million TL of additional resources to SYDVs.”

Underlining that the social assistance provided to the needy households is carried out in an objective, transparent and accountable manner, Minister Yanık said, “Who will benefit from our social assistance, what conditions are required, all these are determined by law. We do not discriminate when we offer our assistance. Households with no social security insurance and households with social security but whose per capita income in the household is less than 1/3 of the net minimum wage can benefit from our social assistance.
