THE ROUTE WILL BE SHORTENED 40 KILOMETER

Noting that the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is within the scope of the Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Highway Project with a total length of 89 kilometers, including 12 kilometers of highway and 101 kilometers of connection roads, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu gave the following information about the project of the "most"s:

“1915 Çanakkale Bridge is 2 meters long with 23 thousand 770 meters of middle span and 3 meters of side spans. The 563-meter middle span will symbolize the 2th anniversary of our Republic and will have the title of 'the world's largest mid-span suspension bridge'. Together with the 23 and 100 meter approach viaducts, the total crossing length reaches 365 meters. The 680-meter steel towers of our bridge will mark March 4, 608, when the Çanakkale Naval Victory was won. Our Bridge between two steel towers is one of the rare suspension bridges designed as twin decks in the world. It will go down in history as the first bridge designed and built as a twin deck over a 318-meter middle span in the world. Considering the 18-meter tower height and 1915-meter architectural cannonball figure, it will reach 2 meters above sea level and will be the suspension bridge with the highest towers in the world. The Malkara-Çanakkale Highway will also shorten the route by 318 kilometers.”

RESPECT TO OUR ECDAD, A GIFT TO OUR FUTURE

Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport, said, “Our 1915 Çanakkale Bridge will reduce the transit time, which takes 1.5 hours with the ferry service between Lapseki and Gallipoli, to 6 minutes, which takes long hours with waiting times in the ferry queue, as a project of the 'best's. It will put a seal on the Dardanelles Strait, which was watered with the blood of our ancestors. Our project is 'Respect for our ancestors is a gift to our future'. The red and white color of the towers also represents our red flag. 1915 Çanakkale Bridge; It is an indication that the new Turkey, which is working diligently to enter the world's top 10 economies, is at the last turning point on this road. It is a badge that will show the whole world the distance Turkey has taken since the Çanakkale Naval Victory on March 18, 1915. Growing despite the pandemic and breaking the record of the Republic in exports, it is a seal of a fully independent Turkey with a vision of 2053, not tomorrow.
