A new page is now opening in front of this city, which broke its shell with new breakthroughs, especially the Filyos Project, and turned into the production and logistics base of the entire Black Sea and the entire region. We are also striving to make Zonguldak the shining star of a great and powerful Turkey by equipping it with infrastructures, works and services suitable for this bright future. It is for this purpose that the investments that we will officially open are for this purpose," he said.

Thanks to this project, transportation between Zonguldak and its largest town, Karadeniz Ereğli, will now be provided in a faster and more comfortable way. I wish the tunnel, bridge and intersection projects in both directions to be beneficial for our city. I have no doubt that Zonguldak will make the best use of these opportunities in transportation, which is the basic infrastructure of development.”

With the Zonguldak-Kilimli Road Project, a total annual savings of 155,2 million TL will be achieved.

Within the scope of the 11th Development Plan, in the section of the 34-kilometer Zonguldak-Kilimli Road, which was designed to provide transportation to the Filyos Port; Built entirely with double tubes, the 1.546-meter Prof. Dr. Şaban Teoman Duralı-1 Tunnel, 337 meters long Prof. Dr. Şaban Teoman Duralı-2 Tunnel, 237-meter Uzunkum Tunnel and 382-meter Aslankayası Tunnel, with a total length of 2.502 meters, and Karaelmas-457 and Uzunkum Bridge Interchanges with a total length of 1 meters.

By taking the transit traffic passing through the residential areas out of the city and putting the whole project into service, which eases the transportation in the region; Zonguldak province and Kilimli district will be connected to each other in divided road standard. With the project, a total annual savings of 135 million TL will be achieved, 20,2 million TL from time and 155,2 million TL from fuel; There will also be a decrease of 4.225 tons in carbon emissions.

Transportation of Sinop, Bartın and Zonguldak provinces to Düzce, Sakarya, Kocaeli and Istanbul will become easier

When the entire project is put into service, the route that constitutes an important part of the Western Black Sea Coastal Road project will make it easier to reach Sinop, Bartın and Zonguldak provinces to Düzce, Sakarya, Kocaeli and Istanbul.

Industrial Traffic Density Relieves in the Region

The Zonguldak-Ereğli Road, which has heavy vehicle traffic, was built as a 45,7 kilometer long, 2×2 lane, bituminous hot mix (BSK) paved divided road. On the road; There are 2×248 meters Erdemir-Ereğli, 2×115 meters Ereğli Hospital, 56 meters Karaelmas Bridge Junctions, 54 and 84 meters long Kozlu bridges, 260 meters Kozlu Balanced Console Viaduct and 344 and 1.460 meters Değirmenağzı I and II Tunnels.

With the Zonguldak-Ereğli Road, the industrial traffic density in the region was relieved and safer, comfortable and economical transportation was provided. The road also contributed significantly to the completion of the Western Black Sea phase of the Black Sea Coastal Road, which is aimed to connect to the 3rd Bosphorus Crossing in Sakarya, starting from the Sarp Border Gate and extending along the Black Sea coast in an east-west direction.

With the project, which increased the transportation standard between the Western Black Sea Region and the Marmara Region, the capacity of tourism centers in the region, especially Amasra, was increased.
