It was reported that 1 person died and 30 people were injured, some of them seriously, as a result of the collision of two suburban trains in the city of Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

According to the statement made by the Munich police, after the accident that occurred at the Ebenhausen-Schaeftlarn train station in the southern part of the city, the railway traffic was stopped in both directions and additional bus services were organized on the route. 1 person died in the accident, about 30 people were injured. It was reported that one of the trains derailed due to the impact of the collision and a driver was stuck in the train.

It was stated that in the region where many emergency service workers were doing search and rescue, the injured people were transferred to the surrounding hospitals.

While the cause of the accident is not yet known, it was shared that the Bavarian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Kerstin Schreyer moved to the scene.
