EMITT – Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair, which is among the five largest tourism fairs in the world, is preparing to bring together world tourism professionals and holiday consumers for the 9th time in Istanbul on February 12-2022, 25.

Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair – EMITT, organized by Hyve Group, which organizes leading fairs in Turkey's leading sectors; It will take place at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center between 9-12 February 2022.

The 25th Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair - EMITT, which was held again after a two-year break, continues to shape the industry with content and collaborations that are more beneficial than the other, creating value for all participants. Participation in the fair, which will be held under the corporate sponsorship of the TR Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Airlines, and the business partnership of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED) and the Turkish Tourism Investors Association (TTYD), continues rapidly from all over the world.

25th EMITT Fair; It will host a total of 14 countries, including Russia, Malta, Bulgaria, Seychelles, Serbia, Kosovo, Pakistan, Jordan, TRNC, Palestine, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The countries will present their geographical features, historical and cultural elements, dishes and folklore at the stands they will set up, and will provide Istanbulites with a colorful fair experience.

As in the previous fairs, within the scope of the VIP Buyer Delegation program organized to create new export channels this year; More than 53 foreign buyers from 200 countries, mainly from important countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Greece, Russia, India, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Azerbaijan, will take part in the fair.

Tourism Revenues Will Be 2022 Billion Dollars in 35

EMITT Fair Director Hacer Aydın, who draws attention to the fact that Turkey is among the countries with the highest number of tourists, said, “According to the data of TUIK, the number of tourists coming to Turkey in 2021 was announced as 30.038.961 people and our tourism income as 24,48 billion dollars. Compared to 2021, the number of foreign tourists coming to Turkey in 2020 increased by 94 percent and reached 24,71 million. Based on the statement made by our Ministry of Tourism and Culture in November, it is expected that our tourism revenues will increase to 2022 billion dollars in 35. These data show that Turkey is increasing day by day in terms of tourism. These results give us hope,” and continued:

“We can say that the contribution of EMITT Fair to the Turkish economy, tourism and the country's brand is great. There was a great demand for this fair, which we last held in 2020. This year, again, the participation demand from foreign countries is at a very high level. This shows that we are doing the right thing. As such, it motivates us to accelerate our work to provide greater benefit to our country.”

Everything About the Tourism Sector Will Take Place at EMITT 2022!

EMITT Fair will be the meeting point of professionals in the tourism sector such as airlines, accommodation facilities, transportation and information technology companies, as well as valuable State bodies, our unions, tour operators, travel agencies and hotels. A very rich conference program covering the trends of the sector on different subjects will take place at the fair.

On the first day of the fair, under the moderation of Tourism Consultant Osman Ayık, TÜRSAB Chairman Firuz Bağlıkaya, TTYD Chairman Oya Narin and TÜROFED Chairman Suriri Çorabatır will take part in the Presidents' Session. It will bring the latest developments that shape the sector to the agenda.

Experts, travelers, influencers and chefs will visit the exhibitors' stands one-on-one with EMITT's must-have Master Class Exhibit Tours, and they will convey how to avoid waste, sustainability tips and climate-friendly tourism practices from the conference stage to the fair corridors.
