Mudanya-Zeytinbağı road construction, which is connected to TEKNOSAB, is planned to be completed simultaneously with the intersection.

“SYMBOL OF THE TRANSITION TO THE ECONOMY OF SCALE”

BTSO Chairman of the Board İbrahim Burkay stated that Bursa, the city where Turkey's first organized industrial zone was established, will also lead the transition to scale economy with TEKNOSAB. Stating that in the first phase of TEKNOSAB, factory constructions increased rapidly and production started in the region, President Burkay said, “Our first factories started production in TEKNOSAB, which was established with a total investment of 25 billion dollars. Our target in exports as a city is to reach 25 billion dollars with the start of full capacity production by all our investors in the region. Our Bursa will support exports, employment and economic growth at a higher level with TEKNOSAB.” said.

“HIGHWAY INTERCHANGE WAS VERY IMPORTANT”

Stating that they made TEKNOSAB ready for investment and production in a short period of 4 years, President Burkay said, “Our President has been following TEKNOSAB since the beginning. This is Turkey's fastest growing industrial zone. The average time for industrial zones to be ready for investment in Turkey is approximately 15 years. We made this place ready for production in just 4 years. There is no such region in Turkey. Especially the highway connection junction was of great importance for our industrialists in the region. With the protocol signed today, TEKNOSAB's connection to the Istanbul-Izmir highway will be provided. With its highway, railway and port connections, logistics centers, infrastructure and treatment plant, TEKNOSAB will be one of the few OIZs in Turkey. Integrating TEKNOSAB into a strong and alternative transportation network will provide our companies with a very important competitive advantage in the international arena. We would like to thank our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Adil Karaismailoğlu, for their support. I wish our protocol to be beneficial for our industrialists and our city.” he said.

“BURSA IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CENTERS OF PRODUCTION AND EXPORT”

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu said that Bursa is one of the most important centers of production and export. Expressing that production centers such as Bursa should be supported with high quality, fast, comfortable and safe transportation investments, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We have started a great infrastructure development move all over our country with this awareness for the last 20 years under the leadership of our President. We have made significant strides in this direction. Increasing the length of the divided road to more than 28 km, increasing the number of airports to 500, major breakthroughs in railways are all the results of this vision. We can see the return of these investments in export figures. Our export, which reached 56 billion dollars last year, is aimed to reach 225 billion dollars in the upcoming period. For this to happen, quality, fast, comfortable and safe transportation infrastructure is indispensable. That's why, as the Ministry, we provide great services and we will continue to do so.” said.

“WE ARE PROUD OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROJECT LIKE TEKNOSAB”

Expressing that they are proud of the fact that a project like TEKNOSAB is being implemented in Bursa, Minister Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows: “As the Ministry, we will do whatever it takes to develop the possibilities of this industrial zone as quickly as we can. We commit to this. After the Osmangazi Bridge and the Istanbul-Izmir highway were built, we started working on the high-speed train line that carries both freight and passengers. With the Yenişehir-Osmaneli line, we provide the connections of Bursa to Istanbul and Ankara. Of course, our aim is to ensure that all the products produced by the industrialists in Bursa reach the sea and ports by the shortest route. There are important studies on this subject. We will put TEKNOSAB's road connections into service in the best way possible. We did the protocol. Hopefully, we will plan to provide port connections. These infrastructures must be strong for the development of TEKNOSAB and the development of the industry. Transportation and infrastructure projects bring mobility and vitality to the places they go like a river. It increases production, employment and exports. It is very valuable that TEKNOSAB is here as well. This project is also a source of pride for us.”

“WE WILL PLAN FOR THE LOGISTICS CENTER”

Noting that they will also make preparations for the establishment of a logistics center in the region where TEKNOSAB is located, Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “For the transfer of production in such a developed and large industrial area, both logistics centers and road, rail and port connections should be planned. We will also work on the transportation and transfer of production and export, and we will make our plans.” he said.
