Çakırözer from CHP asked: Is there negligence in fatal accidents?
Evaluating the data for BirGün, CHP Deputy Utku Çakırözer said, “When the AKP lost the İBB in the elections, it made TCDD a backyard for its managers who were left in the middle. These political appointments were not enough, authorities were created that are unprecedented in the history of the institution.

Noting that people who are not competent and foreign to the corporate culture are assigned to TCDD, Çakırözer said:

“Unfortunately, our people have paid the price of being unmanaged in the hands of those who do not understand the railways. We have had accidents and deaths. Our railway workers were injured and lost their lives. While the accidents in Ankara and Çorlu remain in our memories, those who are responsible for these accidents still have not been held accountable. Is there negligence in fatal accidents in workplaces connected to railways, which are among the risky groups in terms of occupational accidents? Accidents are hidden to avoid responsibility? If so, this responsibility cannot be eliminated by concealment. The destruction caused by these incompetent, unqualified administrations in the railways should be investigated. Negligence must be exposed and those responsible must be held accountable.”
