After pleasant hours, the children left the ice rink happy and the parents satisfied.
Kadifekale was selected as a pilot region
Sociologist Dilan Demir, who is in the project coordination team, stated that they have been carrying out different studies in this region for about a year and said, “Our İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç SoyerWe chose Kadifekale as the pilot region because we give priority to disadvantaged regions in line with the vision of . We prioritize women and children. During the break, we organize such organizations to include our children in cultural and social activities in the city center. Our children were also very curious about the ice rink. That's why we brought it here," he said.
“We had so much fun”
One of the students Ecrin Emel Yalçın said, “We had a lot of fun today. It's a very fun activity. I've never been to an ice rink before. I'm having a lot of fun times," he said. Azra Balın also stated that she had never skied before, so it was a little difficult, but she was happy to be on the ice rink.
“Couldn't sleep with excitement”
Student parent Dilan Yalçın said, “Children have at least seen ice skating. It is very nice that the municipality develops such projects.” Hekime Dimen, on the other hand, stated that her daughter could not sleep because of the excitement, and said, "Due to such events, our Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerThank you. We cannot take our children to such places due to financial difficulties. My child hasn't been able to sleep since she found out she was coming here. We were very happy. Within the scope of Kadifekale Lens Project, school support program, educational and instructive plays, theater and film screenings, women's support and development workshops, seminars, awareness studies, vocational training and skill courses are organized. Protective, improving, preventive and supportive health services are provided.
