President of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir announced on his Twitter account that 10 more KIRAÇ New Generation Criminal Investigation Vehicles were delivered to the General Directorate of Security. In April 2020, the first 6 'KIRAÇ' were delivered within the scope of the New Generation Criminal Investigation Vehicle (KIRAÇ) Project. Within the scope of the project, it is planned to supply 60 new generation criminal investigation vehicles (40 Unarmored + 20 Armored) from Katmerciler to the General Directorate of Security.
Katmerciler will produce 60 van type Crime Scene Investigation Vehicles and mission equipment in addition to 385 KIRAÇ vehicles within the scope of the New Generation Criminal Investigation Vehicle project, which was initiated for the EGM to conduct more effective investigations at the crime scene and to collect evidence safely and quickly.
KIRAÇ New Generation Criminal Investigation Tool developed by Katmerciler; It has a design that can be configured as an armored personnel carrier, command control vehicle and internal security vehicle. Depending on the design, it has a carrying capacity of up to 27+1+1 personnel. The vehicle has a mast-integrated lighting system and a generator that supplies power to the transported equipment. The extra load capacity of the Katmerciler 4×4 KIRAÇ vehicle platform also enables the use of different levels of ballistic protection and versatile equipment.
