Turkey's Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG) has announced a brand new feature. Thanks to the augmented reality system called 'AR HUD', all information will be displayed on TOGG's windshield. This assistant service looks set to diversify the competition in the EV (electric vehicle) market. Because there are only three companies producing this technology in the world and one of them is Turkish.

According to a news published by Dünya, Prof. Dr. Koç University, who has been working on optical reflection and imaging technologies for 30 years, used this innovative technology. Dr. Hakan Ürey developed this hologram technology, which can imitate real-time and human vision, and can detect everything in the driver's viewpoint in depth.

Orkun Oğuz, CEO of CY Vision, touched on the differences in this regard. He explained that its biggest difference from other product developers is its ability to show every depth on the road at the same time.

BRING A NEW BREATH TO THE AUTOMOTIVE MARKET

Orkun Oğuz stated that the said difference was quickly adopted in the automotive market. Saying that 2-3 OEMs participated in the concept development phase, Oğuz said, “We were shortlisted there and then we got both. One of them is BMW, the other is a Japanese company. We are in the testing phase of both vehicles. In the meantime, we're also in talks with some EVs. As EV, we started to meet with the first Togg. If we move forward with one of the EVs, we will be able to hit the market much sooner.” said.

So, back to the beginning, how is augmented reality (AR) used in cars? Thanks to this technology, it is possible to reflect information such as speed, revolution, gear, position and speed of the surrounding vehicles on the windshield on the instrument panel.

However, experts suggest that augmented reality systems will find more place in future vehicles. Because in this way, drivers can easily access a lot of information without taking their eyes off the road.

Meanwhile, the cars that TOGG developers plan to produce will be electric and environmentally friendly. The TOGG domestic car, which will have a modular chassis and a structure that can be easily integrated with information technologies, will also have a strong internet connection.

TWO SUV MODELS WILL COME FIRST

The TOGG team announced that they will produce two SUV models in the first place. These vehicles will be the vehicles with the longest wheelbase in their segment. The domestic car, which has a high-tech electric and connected platform, will be 30 percent full in less than 80 minutes with fast charging.

TOGG, which will cause zero emissions, has many important features such as high crash durability, 30 percent more torsional resistance. In addition, regenerative braking, which contributes up to 20 percent to the vehicle range, is among the features of the domestic car.

According to a statement made by TOGG, the vehicles will be able to fully meet the standards of EuroNCAP, one of the world's leading automobile safety testing organizations. However, the domestic car is expected to receive 2022 stars from EuroNCAP tests in 5.
