The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement regarding the military intervention of Russia. "This attack, beyond destroying the Minsk Accords, is a grave violation of international law and poses a serious threat to the security of our region and the world," the ministry said in a statement. On the other hand, Beştepe said in a statement, "The attack violates international law, it is unacceptable."

"We find the military operation launched by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation against Ukraine unacceptable and we reject it," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The ministry also stated the following in its statement:

“This attack, beyond eliminating the Minsk Accords, is a grave violation of international law and poses a serious threat to the security of our region and the world. Turkey, which believes that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries should be respected, is against changing the borders by means of weapons. We call on the Russian Federation to stop this unfair and unlawful act as soon as possible. Our support for the political unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine will continue.”

EXPLANATION FROM BEŞTEPE

The 'Security Summit' on Russia's military intervention in Ukraine, which was held in the Palace under the chairmanship of AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, came to an end. According to the statement made by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, Russia's military intervention in Ukraine was discussed at the summit.

At the summit, it was stated that this attack of Russia, which destroyed the Minsk Accords, violated international law and was unacceptable.

It was emphasized that Turkey will continue its support for the political unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine at the summit, where attempts by Russia and international platforms to stop this attack, which also poses a threat to regional and world security, were evaluated.
