Emphasizing that cyber security is now a national security issue, Karaismailoğlu said, “Our country's critical infrastructures are monitored instantly and continuously by USOM. In this context, cyber attacks targeting institutions and organizations in our country are regularly reported by the operators. While there were 2020 thousand 118 cyber attacks in 470, this number decreased to 2021 thousand 84 in 113. We will continue to strengthen the cyber shield day by day with domestic and national practices.”

TURKEY'S CYBER SITE IS ENCOUNTERED TO USOM AND SOMES

Karaismailoğlu stated that Cyber ​​Incident Response Teams (SOME) are at the forefront of their duties 7/24 under the coordination of USOM for the protection of institutions and critical infrastructure sectors.

“In our cyber security structure, which is shaped as USOM, Sectoral SOMEs and Institutional SOMEs, a total of 2 thousand 74 SOMEs and 6 thousand 99 cyber security experts registered to the SOME Communication Platform operated under USOM protect the cyberspace of our country. Within the scope of USOM studies, over 130 thousand malicious connections were detected and checked, and their access was blocked at the infrastructure level. In addition, more than 30 thousand cyber security notifications were reported to the relevant institutions and organizations by USOM, and necessary precautions were taken.

KASIRGA, AVCI AND AZAD ARE VISIBLE AGAINST CYBER ATTACKS

Noting that the increased use of information and communication technologies during the Kovid-19 epidemic brought along security problems, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu drew attention to the fact that additional measures were taken in this context. In addition to this, Karaismailoğlu stated that the infrastructure was monitored instantly in order to ensure the continuity of the communication infrastructure, “In addition to the measures taken, KASIRGA, AVCI and AZAD applications, which are based on machine learning and artificial intelligence opportunities, were also vigilant against the increasing cyber attacks in this period. In this context, as of the end of 2021; Threat hunting was done by typing signatures to detect fakes of the most well-known conference applications in threat intelligence studies. 750 fake conference applications were detected and necessary actions were taken. Especially in relation to the increase in remote working methods, remote management services were scanned and a total of 46 vulnerabilities were detected regarding these services and their interfaces, and necessary warnings were made to the relevant public institutions and organizations via the Cyber ​​Communication Platform (SIP) and in an official letter. Using artificial intelligence, scans were also made for domain names related to the covid-784 virus. A threat intelligence report related to Kovid-19 was published via SIP, and 19 malware investigations and 133 malware information were shared. In addition, 612 thousand 19 harmful droppers (viruses) and command and control centers related to Kovid-2 were blocked.
