With the Speed ​​Warning System installed in both directions at the D-2021 Highway Seka Tünel location in December 100, a 2% reduction in traffic accidents has been achieved in the last 70 months.

The Metropolitan Municipality provides efficiency and continuity in the works carried out to make Kocaeli an exemplary city in terms of traffic regulations in our country. The work done makes city traffic safer.

SPEED WARNING SYSTEM

In this context, a Speed ​​Warning System was installed in both directions at the D-2021 Highway Seka Tünel location in December 100 by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transportation. With the Speed ​​Warning System, drivers instantly see their speed on the road. A warning message is given by the system to vehicles traveling over 70 km/h.

2% REDUCTION IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN 70 MONTHS

The entrance, exit and interior of the Seka Tunnel are constantly monitored by the Kocaeli Traffic Management Center with cameras with PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) feature. Any negativity experienced is instantly shared with the security teams, thus providing the opportunity to intervene quickly. Thanks to the system, it is stated that there has been a 2% decrease in traffic accidents in the last 70 months.
