Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu examined the investments made in Düzce on site. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a statement after examining the Düzce ring road construction site. Karaismailoğlu, who noted that as the Ministry, continue to invest in Turkey's east-west, north-south with full force, said that they have implemented important investments on the way to national independence and national economy, with the goal of holistic development.

“Thanks to the land, air, rail, sea and communication moves that we have started in our country since 2003; On the threshold of the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we have made our country a leader in the region and an important crossroads in the world in transportation and communication,” said Karaismailoğlu, adding that among the transportation and communication investments of approximately 1 trillion 169 billion liras made throughout the country during the AK Party governments, road investments, 711 He stated that he received the biggest share with billion liras.

WE INCREASED 12 TIMES THE LENGTH OF TUNNELS ON HIGHWAYS

Karaismailoğlu said, "On the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we aimed to increase the length of the highway to 3 kilometers, the length of the divided road to 843 kilometers, the length of bridges and viaducts to 29 kilometers, and the tunnel length to 516 kilometers."

RATE OF DIVERSE ROADS REACHED 72% IN DUZCE

Expressing that Düzce has received and will continue to receive its rightful share from this great investment move across the country, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu gave the following information about the investments made in Düzce:

“While the divided highway length across the province was 2003 kilometers in 79, we have increased it to 171 kilometers today. The rate of divided roads among all highways throughout the province of Düzce has reached a high level of 72 percent. During the period of our governments, we built 10 bridges with a total length of 488 meters on the highways in Düzce. The cost of our 67 highway projects that we carry out throughout the province of Düzce is 6 million liras. Düzce Ring Road section constitutes an important part of our Düzce-Akçakoca State Road Repair Work. With the project, we are repairing 859 kilometers of divided roads. In this way, we increase traffic safety and driving comfort on the line. Within the scope of the tender, we started the underpass works at the Bagdat Street D50,5 highway connection in Gumusova District. This year, we will continue to work intensively. We had completed the first 100-kilometer part of our Düzce Northern Ring Road and opened it to traffic. We will hold the tender for the construction of the second part within the scope of the 14 investment program.”

THIS YEAR WE WILL COMPLETE THE RESTORATION OF HISTORICAL KONURALP BRIDGE

Pointing out that another highway project is Düzce-Akçakoca Junction-Yığılca Road, Karaismailoğlu stated that the length of the road in Düzce is 40 kilometers and they have completed 23,5 kilometers of the project. “Within the scope of the new tender, we will put the 7,5-kilometer road, including the 9-kilometer Düzce-Yığılca road and the 16,5-kilometer Yığılca-Alaplı road, into service,” said Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, and said, “Our whole goal is to complete the Yığılca-Düzce road before the end of the year. Within the scope of our project, which continues intensively, there are also 312 viaducts with a total length of 2 meters. Another highway project we are carrying out in Düzce is the superstructure works on various sections of the Anatolian Motorway between Gümüşova-Yeniçağ Junction. In addition, our historical bridges Akköprü, Dağkaya, Akbaş, Konuralp, Kavuncu, Karabekir and Göynük Culvert Bridges are continuing our restoration work. We will complete the restoration of the historical Konuralp Bridge on Tabak Creek this year.”
