The Ministry of Interior implemented a Safe Education Practice across the country simultaneously in order to ensure that students continue their education and training in safer environments, to inspect parks-gardens and playrooms, to prevent children from begging, to catch wanted persons and to seize criminal elements. Within the scope of the application, school service vehicles and personnel were also inspected.
In the applications made with the participation of 12 thousand 833 mixed teams and 43 thousand 754 police and gendarmerie personnel throughout the country; 46 thousand 855 school bus vehicles were inspected. During the inspections, a total of 431 thousand 785 vehicles and drivers were penalized and administrative fines were imposed, including 289 violations of not wearing seat belts, 108 vehicle inspections, 2 violations of School Bus Vehicles Regulations, and 901 violations of Carrying Excess Passengers. 446 school bus vehicles, which were found to be missing, were banned from traffic, 10 drivers' licenses were withdrawn.
In practice, 24 public places (coffee houses, coffee shops, cafes, internet and game halls, retail and groceries dealers, alcoholic places, etc.), parks and gardens, abandoned buildings, cigarette lighters throughout the country, especially around 802 schools. The places where volatile substances such as gas and thinner, alcohol and especially open/packaged tobacco products are sold were inspected throughout the day; Administrative action was taken against 34 workplaces. While 355 people wanted for various crimes were caught during the inspections, 37 missing children were found. In the applications, 1.184 unlicensed pistols, 14 unlicensed hunting rifles, 7 blank pistols, 3 bullets and 2 sharp/piercing tool were obtained.
