More than 68 thousand teachers were given first aid training in ten months by the Ministry of National Education. Stating that it is vital for teachers to receive first aid training, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that the target for 2022 is to have 100 thousand teachers hold first aid certificates. Minister Özer noted that they aim to prepare students for life with a first aid culture, to develop first aid awareness at home and in social life, and for parents to receive first aid training in a short time.

With the contributions of the General Directorate of Support Services, Workplace Health and Safety Unit Department, First Aid Trainer Training Center, a total of 81 hours of training, 8 hours of theory and 8 hours of practical work, was organized in 16 provinces.

All the teachers who participated in the training program were the first aiders by getting their certificates. The practical part of the trainings was held face to face within the framework of mask, distance and cleaning rules within the scope of coronavirus epidemic measures in provincial national education directorates and first aid training centers.

In addition to general first aid information, first aid for airway obstruction, bleeding, shock and injury, heat balance disorders, fainting, unconsciousness, high fever, poisoning, animal bites, foreign objects in the eye, ear and nose, fractures, dislocations and sprains are also covered in the trainings. titles were discussed.

Minister Özer: It is vital that our teachers receive first aid training in schools.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, “Our Ministry is taking all necessary measures to create healthy conditions in the education and working environments of our children, who are the guarantee of our future. In an emergency in our schools, the first and immediate health support provided by our teachers is of critical importance. In this direction, we have made great progress in the first aid training organized for our teachers in order to increase the knowledge and awareness of our students and teachers.

Stating that they plan to continue their first aid training primarily for teachers working in boarding schools, pre-school education schools and special education schools, Minister Özer said:
