Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality completed the repair and renovation of Izmit Yenidogan Mosque, which was badly damaged in the fire that broke out last November. The teams affiliated to the three departments, namely the Department of Headman's Affairs, the Department of Parks and Gardens and the Department of Building Control, which took action after the instruction of President Büyükakın, "We will repair the mosque as soon as possible", completed the repair and renovation of the mosque.

TEAMS OF THREE FLATS WORKED TOGETHER

A-Team teams affiliated to the Headman's Office, Rural Services Branch Directorate, primarily carried out cleaning work in the mosque. Carpets and floor heating system, which became unusable in the fire, were renewed. The stained and sooty surface was cleaned and two coats of paint were applied. The electrical system has been renewed. In the Carpenter's Workshop of the Department of Parks and Gardens, 2 doors of the mosque, both interior and exterior, and stair railings were manufactured and assembled. Building Control Department, Energy Lighting and Mechanical Works Branch Directorate renewed the mosque electrical panel, including fuses, the troublesome electrical installation and circuit elements were replaced and assembled. The calligraphy writings in the mosque were renewed. After the hard work of the three departments, the Yenidogan Mosque was brought to a beautiful appearance and made bright.

Mencik, explaining that immediately after the fire, deputy general secretaries and heads of departments came to the mosque and made an examination, and the A Team teams also made a discovery, Mencik said, “The Metropolitan teams have been mobilized since then. They made our mosque look beautiful with the work done. As the neighborhood headman, I would like to thank Tahir President and his team on behalf of the citizens. Our mosque was saved from the damage it suffered, with the works and services. Repair completed as required. It was made more beautiful than before and opened to worship.
