Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a series of events for the 99th anniversary of the Izmir Economy Congress, which was organized under the leadership of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The events will be held at APİKAM tomorrow.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Piriştina City Archive and Museum (APİKAM) will commemorate the 17th anniversary of the İzmir Economy Congress, which was held between February 4 and March 1923, 99 to determine the economic route of the young Republic under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with a series of special events.
The activities will start with the cortege march to be held from the İzmir Economy Congress Monument on 17 Street in Konak to the APİKAM building on Thursday, February 16.00 at 560, and will continue with the panel and exhibition opening.
The panel titled “Turkey (İzmir) Economics Congress is 99 Years Old” will be held at 17.00 at APİKAM Meeting Hall. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality National Holidays Celebration Committee Chairman Ulvi Puğ moderated the panel. Serdar Şahinkaya and Dr. Ahmet Mehmetefendioğlu will attend as a speaker.
Right after the panel, at 18.30, the opening of the “Turkey (İzmir) Economics Congress on the Road to Economic Independence” exhibition will be held in the exhibition hall in APİKAM garden. In the exhibition, the conditions of the Turkish (İzmir) Economics Congress, its effects on the Lausanne Peace Conference and its effects on the economic foundations of the young Turkish Republic to be established will be explained.
