The cost of the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​​​Train Line Project, whose opening was postponed 8 times, increased from 9 billion to 25 billion. CHP Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu announced that a YHT was made for 3 YHT money.

In the 2022 Investment Program, it was announced that a total of 16 billion 147 million liras will be invested in railway transportation this year. In this context, it is planned to spend another 13 billion liras by the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) for the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​​​Train project, which has been under construction for 2 years.

CHP Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu said that 2008 billion TL has been paid so far for the project, which was tendered for 9 billion TL in 25. Karasu made the following statement in front of the station building:

“In all the tenders made by the Ministry of Transport, if a tender is made, it is completed for three prices. While this place was made with a tender price of 9 billion TL, currently 25 billion TL has been paid. Officials stated that the line will be opened in 2022 at the latest, but it is stated in the Presidential investment program that the line will be completed in 2024. The Ministry of Transport, unfortunately, continues to do dubious work in all the tenders it has made.”

The opening has been postponed for the 8th time

Regarding the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​​​Train Line project, whose foundation was laid in 2008, President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the line will be opened in 31 Ramadan Feast in Sivas, where he came before the 2019 March local elections.

However, the opening of the line did not take place. Finally, the opening of the line, which was stated to be put into service with the participation of Erdoğan on September 4, 2021, was postponed for the 8th time. According to the 2022 Investment Program, the line is planned to be completed in 2024.
