According to the data announced by Shanghai International Ports Group (SIPG), the volume of containers processed at Shanghai Port in 2021 increased by 8,1 percent compared to the previous year and reached 47 million 33 thousand TEU.
Shanghai Port of China has been in the first place in the world for 12 years in terms of the volume of containers handled.
On the other hand, it was stated that in 2021, customs inspection, administration, loading and unloading processes were facilitated at four points in the Yangtze River basin, namely Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei and Hangzhou.
