According to the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, two S-400 missile defense system batteries were sent by rail from the Far East region to Belarus for the exercises.
According to the ministry's statement, two S-400 Triumf missile defense system batteries from the Air Force and Air Defense units of the Far East Military Unit moved to the train station in the Khabarovsk region. At the station, the equipment was loaded onto the rail platforms by the soldiers.
Soldiers will carry out works such as equipping, camouflaging and maintaining the launch positions in the shooting ranges where the exercise will be held in Belarus, and will begin combat duty for exercise purposes within the scope of the Combined Regional Air Defense System of Russia and Belarus.
In his statement on January 18, Russian Defense Minister Aleksandr Fomin said that the exercise between the two countries would be carried out in two phases and would be completed on February 20.
