In the case of the A350 landing, Qatar Airways stopped accepting deliveries of wide-body aircraft from Airbus until the issue with the deterioration of the outer fuselage surfaces was resolved.
Qatar Airways has brought the dispute with Airbus to the Supreme Court in London after halting nearly half of its A350 fleet. Qatar Airways, one of the Gulf region's "big three" airlines, announced that it has "terminated" its contract to purchase 50 single-aisle A321neo aircraft.

Qatar Airways demanded $618 million in compensation, as well as an additional $350 million per day for each day the A4 aircraft are idle.
In response, Airbus took a surprising step by canceling Qatar Airways' multibillion-dollar order for 50 aircraft "in accordance with its rights". According to the aircraft manufacturer, Qatar Airways has canceled A350neo orders for failing to meet its contractual obligations by refusing to take delivery of the A321 aircraft. The first hearing of the two companies was held in London's High Court on Thursday. A new hearing will be held the week of April 26.
