Saplings suitable for the nature of İzmir were selected
Hundreds of nature lovers donated approximately 2021 thousand saplings to the One Sapling One World campaign, which was launched in August 15 in order to create afforestation areas suitable for the nature and climate of İzmir. 15 of the 3 thousand saplings donated will be planted in Değirmendere. For the new afforestation area, tree species suitable for the nature and climate of İzmir were selected, such as insane olive, pine tree, hardwood, acorn oak, oleander and laurel. 816 different tree saplings will be planted on an area of approximately 112 thousand square meters. Other donated saplings will meet the soil in 16 in different afforestation areas of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and İZSU.
