On the 107th anniversary of the operation, the martyrs of Sarıkamış were once again commemorated with mercy in the program held in Uludağ with the support of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Bursa City Council.
In cooperation with Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Bursa City Council, Yıldırım Municipality, Bursa Kars Ardahan Iğdır Associations Federation, Turkey Ski and Snowboard Teachers Association, a commemoration program for Sarıkamış martyrs was organized in Uludağ. The program, attended by many citizens, started with a march. After the speeches, Sarıkamış martyrs were commemorated with prayers. The commemoration program was completed with the demonstration of 160 ski instructors skating on the piste with 'torchs and Turkish flags in their hands'.
Bursa City Council President Şevket Orhan thanked those who contributed to the organization of this meaningful organization. Orhan said, “Our saintly martyrs handed over this honorable blood-drenched land to us. Let's explain this situation to our children and our next generation. Let's talk about the value of our country. We saw it in our neighbor Iraq, we saw it in Syria; they became stateless. Let's protect our homeland. Let's know our past well. The program we organized today for the 107th anniversary of the Sarıkamış Operation is very important. I wish God's mercy to our soldiers and soldiers who were martyred for this paradise and our veterans, and a speedy recovery to our veterans," he said.
Bursa Kars Ardahan Iğdır Associations Federation President İrfan Koç thanked Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Bursa City Council and Yıldırım Municipality for their support.
