Konya Karaman YHT Enters Service! Opening Preparations Started

Konya-Karaman High Speed ​​​​Train services will start with the opening ceremony, which will be attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who will arrive in Karaman on January 8.

Within the scope of the opening preparations, Karaman Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık, Karaman Mayor Savaş Kalaycı and Provincial Police Chief Ayhan Taş visited the Karaman Train Station, where the ceremony will be held.

Karaman Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık examined the ongoing preparations for the opening of the YHT in and around the Train Station and received information from the authorities. Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık, who made a statement to the journalists behind his investigations, said, “We made the necessary investigations regarding our President's visit to our province on Saturday, January 8th. Regarding the opening of the High Speed ​​​​Train, the preparations at the Train Station are about to be completed at the moment. Hopefully, when they come here, all our preparations will be complete. In general, we also made investigations in terms of public order and safety. At this point, we will host our President in a way that befits our city.”

With the implementation of the High Speed ​​​​Train project, the distance between Konya and Karaman will decrease from 1 hour 15 minutes to 35 minutes. There are 21 vehicle underpasses, 20 vehicle overpasses and 15 pedestrian underpasses between Konya and Karaman on the line route. With the opening of the line, Karaman will be the 8th province in Turkey using YHT.
