GÜNSEL, the domestic car of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, continues its test drives in Nicosia with its first model B9. GÜNSEL B9, which has been driven thousands of times, draws attention with the quiet and comfortable driving it provides, and one of the most admired aspects of the vehicle besides the performance of the users is its unique logo.
The GÜNSEL logo, designed in the TRNC, like the GÜNSEL B9, was created by the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Deputy Dean and GÜNSEL Art Museum Director Assoc. Dr. It bears the signature of Erdogan Ergun. Although the GÜNSEL logo has a very simple appearance with the harmony of black, white and chrome colors, the meaning of each detail on it creates a whole and hides a rich story.
The logo bears traces of the Günsel Family, who founded GÜNSEL and gave the brand its surname, the electric car industry in which the brand operates, and Cyprus. Inspiring the strong contours of GÜNSEL's first model, the B9, the power of the "tuff", one of Cyprus's iconic creatures, is also evident in the harsh outlines of the GÜNSEL logo. The shield form, which surrounds the logo with the hard lines of the fleece, symbolizes holding together and protecting the mother. The letter “g” inside the shield symbolizes the father who gave the family his surname and 9, the lucky number of the family. The three electric circuits in the middle mean that the three siblings of the family and GÜNSEL will only produce electric cars.
Its logo reflects the personality of GÜNSEL…
Assoc. Dr. Defining the logo design as an effort to establish a "special world" by shaping and embodying knowledge and experiences, Erdoğan Ergün said; “A brand, its strength; “It derives from its ability to offer its users a form that they will perceive, accept and appreciate.” Emphasizing the power of GÜNSEL from its claim to shape the future of the country and the sector in which it operates by representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the automotive industry, one of the most important sectors in the world, Dr. Erdoğan Ergün says he is happy to be able to reflect this power on the GÜNSEL logo, which he describes as his "most seen work".
