New opportunities for health tourism

Yurdakoş stated that this meeting is very important in order to inform Iranians who need health care facilities in Bursa but are not aware of it, Yurdakoş said, “Unfortunately, Iran has difficulties in accessing modern health technologies under embargoes. Many patients who can be treated with modern technology cannot benefit from this opportunity. We tell them that we have such opportunities. We tell them that they can find healing in Bursa. I think that such studies carried out by our Metropolitan Municipality will make a great contribution not only to health tourism but also to tourism in general.”

One-stop management

Hasan Eken, the owner of the tourism agency, who attended the meeting, emphasized that tourism should be managed from a single source and privately, and therefore all the work done under the umbrella of Bursa Culture, Tourism and Promotion Association is very valuable. Expressing that there is a great need for such organizations for new destinations, Eken said, “It was very important to choose the Iranian market in particular. Because Iran is a market that is in the 18th rank in Bursa at the moment. With a population of 80 million like Iran, being a neighboring country and a good economic situation, Bursa should rank 5th in the market. 2,5 million Iranian tourists come to Turkey annually. Our cultures are very similar, we are close to Sabiha Gökçen Airport. We should make good use of these opportunities,” he said.
