Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which prioritizes equality of opportunity in education, will provide free English language training to children in the Capital City in cooperation with Seda Yekeler Education Foundation (SEYEV). A total of 15 students will benefit from English language acquisition, which will start at Esertepe, Osmanlı, Elvankent, Sincan and Kahramankazan Family Life Centers (AYM) in the first place. In the second phase of the project, students will receive foreign language training in camps with XNUMX-day accommodation in Kesikköprü Recreation Facility during the summer vacation.

Continuing its 'student-friendly' practices in line with its social municipality understanding, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has added a new one to the works that will ensure equality of opportunity in education in the Capital.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented many projects from free internet service to children receiving distance education in 918 neighborhoods, to 50 percent discount on water bills, from discounted student subscription cards to solving the housing problem, will now provide free foreign language education support to students in the Capital.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE ACQUISITION WITH DIFFERENT METHODS

In cooperation with the Seda Yekeler Education Foundation (SEYEV), children aged 7-17 will learn English with different methods at the Family Life Centers (AYM) serving within the Metropolitan Municipality.

In the announcement made on the social media accounts of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, “Now is the time for English for our children in the capital. At the first stage, we are starting English lessons for a total of 1000 students at our Esertepe, Osmanlı, Elvankent, Sincan and Kahramankazan Family Life Centers. We are waiting for our parents to our Constitutional Courts for applications”.

CLASSES WILL START IN FEBRUARY

The Department of Family and Women's Services will continue to receive applications from those who want to benefit from English education until the semester break, which will begin on January 24, 2022.

The lessons to be given by the Metropolitan Municipality expert trainers and SEYEV volunteers will be held on weekends (Saturday-Sunday) for the acquisition of English, which will start as of February and last for 3 months.

PROTOCOL WILL BE SIGNED ON 17 JANUARY

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and SEYEV President Seda Yekeler, for the project to be implemented with the slogan "You can talk too", which will enable children studying in the capital to open up to the world, on 17 January 2022 at 15.00 in the Metropolitan Municipality Conference Hall, where families and children will take part. will attend the cooperation protocol signing ceremony.

After the foreign language training, which will end in May, the second phase of the project will be carried out with accommodation. Students will both learn the language and spend their free time by participating in the 15-day camps to be held at the Kesikköprü Recreation Facility during the summer vacation.
