51-year-old actor Ayberk Pekcan (51) who is known for his TV series Under Ihlamurlar, Yaprak Dökümü, Kurtlar Vadisi and Keşanlı Ali Epic, and most recently in the TV series Diriliş Ertuğrul, passed away.
Sait Dervişoğlu, Member of the Board of Mersin Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MESIAD), announced the bitter news on his social media account.
Dervişoğlu shared on Twitter, “My dear, my liver, my friend, my friend, my brother; We lost Ayberk Pekcan, a veteran of Turkish cinema. May his place be in heaven”.
Pekcan learned that she had cancer in the hospital she applied to with a complaint of back pain in October. Saying that the tumor had spread to the liver and adrenal glands, the actress announced that she started chemotherapy.
Pekcan used the following statements on social media: “Dear friends, the process that started with the doctor I went to ten days ago with a complaint of back pain has come to this point today. I have lung cancer. The tumor has also spread to the liver and adrenal glands. Unfortunately, this disease did not show any symptoms in its initial stages. First day of chemotherapy. Who is Ayberk Pekcan?
Turkish cinema and TV series actor Ayberk Pekcan was born on May 22, 1970 in Mersin.
He spent his childhood and youth in Adana and Mersin. After completing his primary and secondary education in Adana and high school in Mersin, he graduated from Mersin University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts, Department of Theater. Later, he started his acting career in Istanbul.
He played the main roles in the television series Ihlamurlar Altında, Yaprak Dökümü, Kurtlar Vadisi and Keşanlı Ali Destanı.
In 2010, the feature film Hair, in which he played the leading role, received awards at national and international film festivals. He was awarded the best supporting actor award at the 2012rd Ankara International Film Festival for his performance in the movie Aşk ve Devrim, which was released in 23.
