HPV vaccine, the most important way to prevent cervical cancer

In addition to the vaccine; Monogamous (monogamous) sexual life, condom use, paying attention to hygiene, staying away from cigarettes and similar substances, keeping the immune system high and avoiding causes that may lower it are among the factors that minimize the risk of contracting this disease.

What should be done for early diagnosis?

prof. Dr. Dunder said the following about the diagnosis and treatment methods of cervical cancer: “For the early diagnosis of cervical cancer; It is very important to go to regular gynecologist check-ups, to have a 'smear test' at certain intervals and to have HPV checked. In a possible suspicious case, 'colposcopy' should be performed and if necessary, a biopsy should be taken during this procedure to confirm the diagnosis. Cervical cancer is treated with surgical methods in the early stages and with the combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in the more advanced stages. It is also very important to go to regular check-ups following the treatment processes.”
