“We have laid the foundations of an innovative approach to sustainable transportation in our city with our projects that will expand micromobility transportation modes in our Capital. The contract of the project named MeHUB for Integrating Connected Micromobility Infrastructure into Existing Public Transport, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an organ of the European Union, was signed by the General Directorate of EGO on September 3, 2021. Within the scope of the project, we carry out the processes of optimizing micromobility vehicles and roads, determining the capacity and locations of charging stations by obtaining the usage data of Micromobility vehicles such as bicycles and scooters in Ankara. In this way, we aim to reduce the use of automobiles, thus contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions, increasing other micro-mobility and determining new bicycle path routes.”
