Trainees participating in the Radio Controlled Model Aircraft Course opened in Konya Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Training Courses (KOMEK) learn how to build and fly Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said that at the end of the trainings, they also provided equipment support to the teams that will participate in competitions such as TEKNOFEST, and said that they opened the horizons of young people with new generation courses.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that unmanned aerial vehicles, which are becoming more and more widespread today, will enter human life more in many areas in the near future, and that trainings are given in this area as well. President Altay said, “In addition to the manual skills of our trainees; flight principle, aerodynamics, strength, flight safety rules and how the aircraft auxiliary parts move are explained in practice. Aileron-Elevator-Rudder-Flap-Gas systems, which are aircraft auxiliary parts, are also shown in practice.” said.

At the end of the trainings, the teams that will participate in important competitions such as TEKNOFEST; Noting that equipment support such as telemetry, autopilot, and image processing systems is also provided, Chairman Altay added that as KOMEK, they will continue to open the horizons of young people with new generation courses.

In the trainings attended by the students of the Department of Aircraft Engineering, Airframe Engine Maintenance, Electrical Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering and Aviation Management, the trainees flew the UAVs they built at Alaaddin KOMEK in the region where the flight permit was granted in the Selçuklu Sarayköy District.
