Bursa Ankara High Speed Train Project Has Become a Dream

Reminding that the Bursa-Ankara YHT Project, which was said to be put into service in 2016 during the parliamentary budget negotiations, was not completed on the promised date, CHP Bursa Deputy Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu said, “While going to the 2018 elections, the ruling wing gave a new date. They said 2020. After the election, this date became 2023. The project was a dream,” he said.

According to the news of Halil Ataş from SÖZCÜ; “CHP Bursa Deputy Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu said that the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project has turned into a snake story.

“WE WAS 2020, IT WAS 2023, NOW IT IS TRYING 2025”

Kayışoğlu asked Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu “When will the high-speed train arrive in Bursa” during the parliamentary budget negotiations, and the project, which was said to be put into service in 2016, was not completed on the promised date. On the way to the 2018 elections, the ruling wing gave a new date. They said 2020. After the election, this date became 2023. The response from the Ministry is that the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project, the foundation of which was laid in 2012, will not be completed before 2025.

“WE WAS SAID THAT THE voyages would start in 2020”

Kayışoğlu said, “The Ministry informed that the railway infrastructure productions continue between Bursa-Yenişehir and that the tender process with external financing for the infrastructure works between Yenişehir-Osmaneli and the superstructure of the entire line has been completed, and that the loan negotiations have been concluded by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and a loan agreement has been signed. The procedures regarding the entry into force of the contract and the delivery of the site will be completed in the near future. It is planned that the project will be completed in 36 months following the site delivery'. While entering the general elections on June 24, 2018, it was stated in the statements made by the government that high-speed train services would start between Bursa and Ankara in 2020.

“NOW IT IS A DREAM”

Saying that it is obvious that the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project will not be completed before 2025, Kayışoğlu from CHP said, "Those who said 'it will end in 2020' before the election, then moved the date to 2023. The response of the Ministry now reveals that this too is a dream. Why didn't those who made these promises fight for the project to be finished at least in 2023? Why did they not stand by their words when they promised the people of Bursa and asked for votes?

“WE PROMISE, IN OUR POWER, BURSAS WILL TRAVEL BY HIGH-SPEED TRAIN”

Expressing that the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project has caused frustration in Bursa, Kayışoğlu said,
He said:

* Those who have not been able to bring the high-speed train to Bursa for 10 years cannot bring it after this time. We promise the people of Bursa as the Nation Alliance that will bring out 13 Presidents.

* Bursa residents will travel to Ankara by High Speed Train under our rule. As the representatives of the government, we will follow the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project with the same sensitivity as we have followed up until now as the opposition deputy.

* The fact that one of Turkey's most important industrial cities lags behind in both rail and air transportation is the greatest injustice done to Bursa by the governments.

*13. As members of the Nation Alliance, which will remove the President, we will put an end to this injustice. Bursa will get what it deserves from Ankara.
