Be a Voice for the Fight Against Human Trafficking National Poster Competition Concluded

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerThe national poster competition, which was organized to draw attention to the fight against human trafficking, in line with the vision of turning İzmir into a capital of human rights, has concluded.

The winners of the national poster competition organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to raise awareness about labor exploitation and human trafficking that immigrants, women, children and other vulnerable groups are exposed to have been announced. Taha Bekir Murat was the winner of the competition, which was held under the name of "Be a Voice for the Fight Against Human Trafficking", while Umut Altıntaş took the second prize and Aygen Incel received the third prize. Aslı Yıldız's design was deemed worthy of the honorable mention.

187 works participated

A total of 104 designers and 187 works participated in the competition, which was organized in partnership with the Urban Justice and Equality Branch Office of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Social Projects Department and the Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants. The competition started within the scope of the program titled “HF30 Strengthening the Protection of Migrants and Victims of Trafficking in Turkey in Terms of Human Rights” implemented in Turkey within the scope of the “Horizontal Support for the Western Balkans and Turkey II” program with the financial support of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It was organized within the scope of “Awareness Raising and Capacity Building on Human Trafficking for Labor Exploitation in İzmir” project.
